Privacy Policy

Overview

DevHub is a collaboration app for GitHub repositories (chat, notes, tasks, snippets, notifications). This policy describes data we collect and how we use it.

Use of the app means you accept this policy.

Information we collect

Account information from GitHub when you sign in: GitHub user ID, username, display name, and profile avatar URL. We do not receive your GitHub password.

Repository metadata for repos you connect: names, default branch, and collaborator lists needed to show who has access.

Content you create in a workspace: chat messages, notes (including formatted text and code excerpts), kanban tasks, and snippet room data.

Device information for push notifications: Apple push notification device token, platform (iOS/macOS), and APNs environment (sandbox or production).

Technical data: API requests necessary to operate the service (timestamps, error logs). We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.

How we use information

Authenticate you and keep you signed in securely.

Sync your workspaces and content across devices signed into the same account.

Deliver push notifications for activity in repositories you have not muted.

Operate, secure, and improve the DevHub service.

Where data is stored and shared

DevHub stores account and workspace data in hosted PostgreSQL (Neon). API and legal pages are served via Vercel.

GitHub: OAuth for sign-in and repo access within your existing GitHub permissions. GitHub’s privacy policy applies to GitHub.

Apple: Push notifications are delivered through Apple Push Notification service (APNs). Apple processes device tokens according to its policies.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for cross-app tracking or advertising.

Retention and deletion

We retain your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the service.

You can delete your account in Settings → Delete account. This removes your user record, sign-in tokens, device tokens, and content attributed to you, subject to database cascade rules. Workspace data created with others may remain visible to remaining collaborators where tied to shared rooms.

You can sign out at any time; that removes the access token from your device but does not delete server-side data.

Security

Access tokens are stored in the device Keychain. API traffic uses HTTPS in production builds.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use DevHub only for information you are comfortable storing in a team collaboration tool.

Children

DevHub is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data. Account deletion in the app is the primary way to request deletion.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
